Mine Geologist Job Description


Our organization is seeking a Mine Geologist to play a vital role in delivering high-quality geological services aimed at optimising operational efficiency and maximising ore recovery.


The successful candidate will be responsible for daily/monthly production/geological data validation and reporting, geological and geo-technical mapping, designing and supervising drill programs, designing and marking up ore blocks, logging of diamond and RC drilling, collaborating with engineers to develop efficient mine plans with a focus on ore recovery, and collaborating with operators/supervisors to implement mine plans.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BSc degree or MSc in Geology/Geoscience.
  • 2-5 years experience as a mine geologist.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience in various mining software e.g., Surpac, Leapfrog, etc.
