Geologist Open Pit

A Geologist with pro-personnel will work in open pit environments coordinating and participating in all grade control functions. This includes accurate and timely geological delineation of ore, meeting surface mining department schedules, and providing key insights to maximise output and ore recovery at the lowest cost over the life of the mine.

Key responsibilities include supervising the collection, storage and validation of geological data, planning and supervising effective grade control practices, preparing and maintaining grade control and geological models, and reconciling mining production and stockpiles on a monthly basis.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Geology, a current Western Australian Drivers Licence, and intermediate skills using Surpac and Vulcan mining software. Experience in open pit mine geology and grade control practices, as well as an advanced understanding of geological interpretation and 3D modelling techniques, is highly desirable.
