As a leader in Home Assessing, you will oversee the strategic direction of your team, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to meet their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will lead the On-road Assessing Team and Desktop Assessing Team, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination between departments.
  • Your role involves liaison with internal & External stakeholders, facilitating communication and driving results.
  • You will work closely with the Commercial Manager to procure supplier services, adhering to governance, compliance, and contractual frameworks.
  • Lead capability team meetings, develop frameworks, and drive engagement within your Direct Report(s) and the entire Desktop Home Assessing team.
  • You will coach, develop, mentor, and support your Direct Report(s) to achieve performance targets and exceed service standards.
  • In complex negotiations and high-profile disputes, you will act as the escalation point, working closely with the Claims Management Team.
  • You will implement and oversee WH&S regulatory frameworks to ensure risks are stringently managed.
  • Monitor, manage, and audit tactical supplier performance, ensuring Procurement protocols are executed according to agreed contractual and best practice standards.
  • You will identify and report on key trends within the Home Assessing & Supply team, as well as external practices that could present risks or opportunities to Auto & General.
  • Collaborate effectively across the end-to-end Home value chain to ensure controls deliver against overall business objectives.
  • Drive the Home Assessing Team through Change Programs.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of market developments in the Building Repair industry, regulatory requirements, company processes, systems, products, and brands.
What You'll Bring
  • Senior Leadership experience, with at least 5 years leading teams.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Home Assessing, Building Repair and Restoration, with strong knowledge of associated market practices and standards.
  • Experience leading professionals, operating effectively as part of a team with accountability for business results.
  • Strong commercial acumen, proven capability in strategic programs of work development and execution.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
  • Verbal communication skills, effective with customers & industry professionals when negotiating outcomes.
  • Able written communication skills, including report writing.
