Home Assessing Team Leader

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the Home Assessing division. This includes directing the On-road Assessing Team and Desktop Assessing Team, as well as acting as a key liaison for internal and external stakeholders. The leader will work closely with the Commercial Manager to procure supplier services, attending interstate meetings when required.

This role requires a high level of leadership, driving capability, and developing frameworks to produce a highly engaged and technically strong team. The leader will also coach, develop, mentor, and support direct reports to ensure performance exceeds key performance indicators and service standards.

The successful candidate will implement and oversee WHS regulatory frameworks, monitor, manage, and audit supplier performance, identify and report on trends within the Home Assessing & Supply team, and collaborate across the end-to-end value chain to deliver against overall business objectives.

This is an opportunity to lead change programs and maintain strong knowledge of market developments in the Building Repair industry, regulatory requirements, company processes, systems, products, and brands.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive senior leadership experience through leading teams for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience and strong knowledge of the Home Assessing, Building Repair and Restoration environment and associated market practices and standards.
  • Experience leading a team of professionals and operating effectively as part of a team with accountability for business results.
  • Strong commercial acumen and proven capability in the development and execution of strategic programs of work.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, effective with both customers & industry professionals when negotiating best business outcomes.
  • Strong, accurate written communication skills, including report writing.
