We are seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to join our team in delivering exceptional care to individuals in need. As an aged care support specialist, you will be responsible for providing holistic support to clients across metropolitan Melbourne, encompassing personal care, emotional and social assistance, and maintenance of their independence.
Duties:- Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities to ensure clients' comfort and dignity.
- Offer emotional and social support to clients and their families, promoting a sense of belonging and well-being.
- Perform light domestic duties to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Provide respite opportunities for families to recharge and relax, alleviating caregiver stress.
- Support medication administration as required, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a solid foundation in aged care principles.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a support worker or personal carer in aged care or community settings, showcasing expertise and commitment.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and Manual Handling Certificates, ensuring the highest level of safety and proficiency.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Strong written and verbal English language skills, facilitating clear and concise communication.
- Ability to work autonomously within your scope of practice, exercising sound judgment and decision-making.
