**Aboriginal Community Engagement Officer Role Overview**
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our state-wide Aboriginal Community Engagement Officer program, aiming to improve legal service delivery for First Nations people.
The successful candidate will oversee a team of Aboriginal Community Engagement Officers across multiple offices and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies and initiatives promoting positive engagement with First Nations communities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of professionals in local teams
- Developing and implementing monitoring and reporting processes
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to improve the experience of First Nations people
- Building relationships with community organisations and First Nations clients
Applicants must have lived experience working with First Nations peoples, a good understanding of their culture, and a commitment to improving legal outcomes and access to services for this group.
