We are seeking a skilled Agronomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agronomic practices and be able to provide technical advice to clients.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing agronomic and technical support to clients, including recommending products and services to strengthen their businesses
  • Achieving allocated financial objectives and assisting with forecasting and inventory management
  • Promoting branch staff upskilling through technical advice, mentorship and product recommendations
  • Developing and fostering professional relationships with a targeted group of existing and new clients
  • Assisting with field days, farmer meetings and trial/demonstration work
  • Working as part of the rural products sales team to build client relationships and drive success
  • Developing spray and fertiliser programs
  • Conducting water, soil and plant tissue testing
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Agronomy with experience in broadacre
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment
  • Passion for effecting real change for both clients and community – with building and maintaining relationships at the core of your work
  • High-level customer service skills and ability to cultivate relationships with potential and current growers
