About the role We are looking for an Agronomist to join our Branch on a fixed-term, full-time or part-time basis.
Elders Agronomists build and maintain strong relationships with clients, not just for short-term gains, but to help them create a successful, sustainable, and productive business for many years to come.
You will provide agronomic technical advice, products, and services to help your clients thrive, as well as play the pivotal role of leading the rural products sales team and overseeing this function within the branch.
Responsibilities Provide agronomic and technical support, recommending products and services to strengthen clients' businesses Achieve allocated financial objectives and assist with forecasting and inventory management Promote branch staff upskilling through technical advice, mentorship and product recommendations Develop and foster professional relationships with a targeted group of existing and new clients Assist with field days, farmer meetings and trial/demonstration work Work as part of the rural products sales team to build client relationships and drive success Develop spray and fertiliser programs Conduct water, soil and plant tissue testing About you Able to thrive in a collaborative working environment Are smart, resourceful, and able to embrace industry research and new technology Are passionate about effecting real change for both your clients and your community – with building and maintaining relationships at the core of your work Have a qualification in Agronomy with experience in broadacre Have an ability to provide high-level customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current growers Thrive in a flexible and agile working environment About Elders As a trusted Australian agribusiness, we have played an important role in the agricultural sector for 185 years.
