Role Responsibilities

As a Livestock Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role within the broader Commercial portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the procurement of livestock, ensuring alignment with Coles' integrated meat model. You will be tasked with delivering the required volume on schedule and meeting specified quality and pricing standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing livestock programs that align with sales demands and customer needs.
  • Gaining insights into demand, pricing targets, and production requirements across various livestock categories.
  • Executing effective purchasing strategies to meet supply, specifications, and pricing objectives.
  • Managing procurement processes and nurturing relationships with both existing and new livestock suppliers across diverse categories.

Candidate Profile

As a vital member of the Coles Commercial Meat portfolio, you will leverage your expertise to enhance our meat produce business. To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in the livestock supply chain.
  • Strong relationship management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in data interpretation and reporting.
  • Experience in project planning and execution.
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver's license.
