Role Responsibilities
As a Livestock Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role within our broader Commercial portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the acquisition of livestock to support Coles' integrated meat model. You will ensure timely delivery of livestock that meets our specifications and pricing requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing livestock programs that align with sales demands and customer needs.
- Understanding market demand, pricing targets, and production requirements across various livestock categories.
- Executing effective purchasing strategies to meet supply, specifications, and pricing objectives.
- Managing relationships with both existing and new livestock suppliers across diverse categories.
Candidate Profile
As an integral member of the Coles Commercial Meat portfolio, you will leverage your expertise to foster effective partnerships and support our meat production initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in the livestock supply chain.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Ability to analyze data and generate insightful reports.
- Experience in project planning and execution.
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- A valid driver's license.
