Driving Instructor

Transforming lives and futures one milestone at a time, our Driving Instructor plays a vital role in empowering young people to gain their driver's licence and unlock opportunities for independence, education, and employment.

The successful candidate will coach and mentor young people through their driving lessons, building their confidence and resilience. They will also be responsible for managing lesson bookings, schedules, and ensuring participants stay motivated and progressing.

Additionally, the Driving Instructor will recruit, train, and support volunteers who help young people achieve their logbook hours. They will build strong relationships with community groups, schools, and local stakeholders, and engage with young people one-on-one and in group settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach and mentor young people through their driving lessons
  • Manage lesson bookings, schedules, and ensure participants stay motivated and progressing
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers who help young people achieve their logbook hours
  • Build strong relationships with community groups, schools, and local stakeholders
  • Engage with young people one-on-one and in group settings
Requirements:
  • Passion for working with young people
  • Energy, patience, and encouragement in every interaction
  • Organisation and confidence in managing logistics and relationships
  • Knowledge of WA transport Driver's License processes (training will be given)
  • Current Drivers' licence (held for minimum 4 years - includes provisional time served)
  • Current Working with children check
  • Current First Aid Certificate (able to obtain within first three months)
  • Mental Health First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
