Participation Growth Specialist

The purpose of this role is to grow participation through the professional delivery of core programs in the designated region. This includes delivering NAB AFL Auskick and Superkick programs, as well as school football competitions and programs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality participation programs to ensure growth and retention
  • Implement strategies for transition from NAB AFL Auskick and Superkick into junior club football
  • Support Regional Lead – North Queensland with participation strategy deployment, staffing, budgeting, and regional execution
  • Mentor and support casual staff and AFL Cairns Participation Coordinators
  • Collaborate with Junior Community Clubs to build inclusive environments and pathways for player recruitment, retention, and transition
  • Contribute data insights to CRM – Salesforce to inform key decisions

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience with ability to train and mentor staff
  • Ability to work autonomously with strong organisational and planning skills
  • Friendly and enthusiastic nature with passion for working with children
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder engagement
  • Problem-solving skills with ability to provide quality solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in Australian Football
