Job Overview

Babcock seeks a technically skilled HSE Advisor to drive health, safety, and environmental excellence across operations.

This role involves developing and implementing HSE protocols tailored to specialised operational contexts, ensuring alignment with Defence and Commonwealth standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing Protocols: Design and implement HSE protocols that cater to unique operational requirements, adhering to strict standards.
  • HSE Advisory Services: Provide expert guidance on HSE considerations throughout the asset lifecycle, from planning to sustainment.
  • Risk Assessment and Investigations: Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and audit activities in domains where precision and resilience are paramount.
Requirements:
  • Citizenship and Clearance: Hold Australian citizenship and obtain a Defence security clearance (or be able to obtain one).
  • Qualifications: Possess AQF Level 4 Qualification or Equivalent in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Risk Management or a transferable engineering-related qualification.
  • Experience: Leverage previous experience in a similar role, preferably within Defence or other high-risk industries.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Analytical Skills: Showcase proficiency in root cause analysis and incident investigation methodologies.
