Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned HSE professional to drive health, safety, and environmental excellence across our operations.

  • Work closely with Program Managers supporting contracts in complex and high-risk environments.
  • Develop and implement HSE protocols tailored to specialised operational contexts, ensuring alignment with Defence and Commonwealth standards.
  • Guide risk assessments, incident investigations, and audit activities where precision and resilience are critical.

This role demands technical expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to influence at all levels. You'll lead HSE initiatives, mentor teams, and partner with stakeholders to embed a proactive, learning-focused safety culture.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Australian Citizenship with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
  • AQF Level 4 Qualification or Equivalent in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Risk Management or a transferable engineering-related qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within Defence or other high-risk industries.
  • Strong understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and incident investigation methodologies (e.g. ICAM, Kelvin TOP-SET, TapRooT).
  • Competent in using HSEQ management systems, including accurate data entry and event management.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to generate reports and manage documentation effectively.
