Safety And Environmental Advisor

Develop and maintain Health, Safety & Environmental programs including policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines Ensure implementation and adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental programs in all departments, and works with managers and supervisors in the enforcement Ensure applicable hazard identification / analysis impacting workplace health and safety is conducted and action items are implemented Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental programs remain current with applicable legal and other requirements
• Performs routine Health, Safety & Environmental audits and inspections and reports findings to management Provide and coordinate employee Health, Safety and Environmental training Review all accident / incident investigations and ensure proper corrective actions are implemented Provides regular statistics to management regarding Health, Safety & Environmental performance Requirements Minimum of 5 years of health, safety, environmental experience working in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment, preferably automotive Minimum of 3 years of HSE experience in implementing and maintaining an HSE Management System (ISO 14001 and 45001)Must have a degree / diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent CRSP designation an asset ISO Certified Auditor preferred Must be able to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, time management, and organizational skills
• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times Must be able to work overtime when necessary; may be required to work different shifts Must have a good understanding of Canadian Health, Safety & Environmental legislation Proficient in MS Office
