About the Role
As a Support Worker, you may be required to support clients with various tasks such as:
- Household chores and grocery shopping
- Medication and attending medical appointments
- Holidays, fishing, camping and beach activities
- Social inclusion and community access
- Fitness and wellbeing activities
- Development of independent living skills
- Implementation of behaviour management strategies
- Personal care
The SCSS programs operate 24/7, which includes shift work (sleepovers, weekends, and awake shifts). This requires a flexible approach to your working hours.
Requirements
In order to commence in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Hold or be eligible to apply for a Blue Card for Working with Children
- Hold or be eligible to apply for NDIS Worker Screening
- Hold a driver's licence and own a vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Complete NDIS E-Learning modules
- Own a smartphone with internet access
