About the Role
Ventia is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Fitter to join our team working on the Defence maintenance contract. This position will see you join our Vehicle Mechanical Crew working across the workshop floor maintaining an array of different Defence vehicle fleets.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled servicing and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Diagnose and repair vehicle faults, including electrical and mechanical issues
- Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials
- Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced parts to ensure proper function
- Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs to maintain vehicle appearance
Requirements
- Trade Certificate III as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
- Current WA HR Driver's License
- Certificate II Automotive Air Conditioning or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
