About the Role
As a Vehicle Mechanic at Ventia, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers, and even armoured tanks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification
- Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials
- Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced parts
- Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
- Test and repair electrical systems, such as lighting, ignition, and electronic fuel injection
- Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates
About You
- Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level (open to Light Vehicle Mechanics)
- Demonstrated experience on Heavy commercial vehicles
- Demonstrated ability and practical experience to inspect, repair, and maintain Light, Medium, and/or Heavy vehicles to a medium level of repair
- Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's Licence
- You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
