We are currently assisting a prominent payment services company in their search for a dedicated Compliance Manager to spearhead their compliance initiatives in Australia.

Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are in search of a seasoned Compliance Manager to develop and uphold a comprehensive compliance framework that supports financial services and market products.

  • Supervise the compliance and AML/CFT program in accordance with the AFS License.
  • Liaise with Regulatory Authorities and manage necessary filings and reports for financial and FX institutional brokerage services.
  • Formulate, execute, and oversee compliance policies and procedures, especially concerning AML/CFT regulations and AUSTRAC standards.
  • Oversee customer onboarding processes, enhanced due diligence, risk assessments, sanction checks, transaction surveillance, SMR, and IFTI reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to the code of conduct and manage AFCA complaint resolution compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Global Compliance Team to align local regulations with corporate policies.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing compliance functions within a regulated environment.
  • Previous involvement in the Payments sector or a Payments division of a larger organization is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with Regulatory bodies such as ASIC, AUSTRAC, and AFCA.
  • In-depth understanding of the Australian regulatory landscape concerning CFD trading, AML/CFT, and sanctions.
  • Compliance experience with FX derivatives is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications in compliance are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and manage responsibilities independently.
