Job Description

**Role Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Compliance and Risk Officer to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive compliance program that supports our financial services and financial markets products.

  • **Regulatory Compliance:** Oversee the Australia regulatory compliance and Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) program under the Australian Financial Services (AFS) License.
  • **Regulatory Engagement:** Collaborate with Regulatory Authorities and manage ASIC filing and reporting for financial and FX institutional brokerage services.
  • **Compliance Framework:** Establish, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures, particularly related to AML/CFT laws and AUSTRAC requirements.
  • **Customer Onboarding:** Manage customer onboarding, enhanced due diligence, risk profiling, sanction screening, transaction monitoring, Standard Market Practice (SMR) and Institutional Financial Transaction and Securities (IFTI) reporting.
  • **Code of Conduct:** Provide oversight for the code of conduct and Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) complaint handling compliance programs.
  • **Global Collaboration:** Collaborate with the Global Compliance Team to align local regulations with group policy.
The Successful Applicant

**Requirements:**

  • Strong track record of managing compliance operations within a regulated environment.
  • Previous experience in the payments industry or payments department of a larger organization is highly valued.
  • Demonstrable experience engaging with Regulatory bodies, including ASIC, AUSTRAC, and AFCA.
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian Regulatory environment for CFD trading, AML/CFT, and sanctions.
  • Compliance experience with FX derivatives is highly preferred.
  • Professional qualifications in compliance are advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and manage time and duties independently.
