Position Summary:
We are in search of a seasoned Compliance and Risk Officer to spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive compliance framework tailored for the Australian financial services sector.
- Ensure adherence to Australian regulatory compliance and AML/CFT protocols under the AFS License.
- Engage with Regulatory Authorities and oversee ASIC filing and reporting for financial and FX institutional brokerage services.
- Design, execute, and supervise compliance policies and procedures, focusing on AML/CFT legislation and AUSTRAC standards.
- Oversee customer onboarding processes, enhanced due diligence, risk assessments, sanction screenings, transaction monitoring, and reporting obligations.
- Provide guidance on the code of conduct and AFCA complaint resolution compliance programs.
- Work in collaboration with the Global Compliance Team to align local regulations with group policies.
Candidate Profile:
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing compliance operations within a regulated environment.
- Background in the Payments Industry or relevant department of a larger organization is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in liaising with Regulatory bodies such as ASIC, AUSTRAC, and AFCA.
- In-depth knowledge of the Australian regulatory landscape concerning CFD trading, AML/CFT, and sanctions.
- Compliance experience with FX derivatives is strongly preferred.
- Professional certifications in compliance are advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
