Data Governance Lead Role

As a key member of our organisation, you'll play a pivotal role in defining and delivering data strategy across departments. Your expertise will ensure data governance initiatives are aligned with compliance standards, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, driving business outcomes through effective data governance. You'll champion best practices, develop robust policies and procedures, and ensure data accessibility, accuracy, and quality.

  • Define and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring organisational alignment and legal compliance.
  • Monitor data quality, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with Security and Architecture teams to embed data governance in solutions.
  • Promote best practices in data management, supporting leaders in developing meaningful reports and control systems.
  • Improve stewardship and metadata management processes, ensuring large and complex data sets are usable, understandable, and well-governed.

You'll require experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), skilled in Power BI with strong visual design capabilities, and exposure to Python, SQL, GIT, and XML. A strong understanding of metadata management, lineage, and data quality is essential, along with familiarity with frameworks such as COBIT, ISO27001, GDPR, DMBOK, and ISO 42001.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, IT or related field and demonstrated ability to deliver commercial outcomes through data strategy.
