Business Intelligence Strategist

Job Overview:
The Business Intelligence Strategist will be responsible for championing organisational understanding of data's role and value, defining and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and quality standards. This individual will monitor alignment to governance frameworks and legal compliance, collaborate with Security and Architecture teams to ensure governance is embedded in data solutions, promote best practices in dashboard and visualisation management, and support leaders in developing meaningful reports and control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of data governance strategies
Define and maintain data governance policies and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data governance practices
Develop and maintain data quality standards and metrics
Monitor and report on data governance performance
Requirements:
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
Skilled in Power BI, with strong visual design capabilities
Exposure to Python, SQL, GIT, and XML
Hands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g. MS Purview or equivalent)
Strong understanding of metadata management, lineage, and data quality
Familiarity with frameworks such as COBIT, ISO27001, GDPR, DMBOK, ISO 42001
Demonstrated ability to deliver commercial outcomes through data strategy
Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, IT or related field
