
Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving excellence in health, safety and environmental management across various projects, warehouses and offices.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct support to the National HSE Manager in managing and implementing health, safety and environmental processes.
- Assist in providing local project HSE support, including site-based and non-site-based greenfield and brownfield project roles, with some domestic travel required.
- Develop and implement forward-thinking HSE strategies, leveraging expertise to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support pre-contract HSE reviews and submissions for opportunities.
- Review, onboard and monitor subcontractors across sites.
- Contribute to the preparation of Management Plans, Risk Assessments (HAZID, SWMS) and Project HSE Management Systems.
- Support teams and HSE advisors in incident investigations and ensure accurate documentation in the Incident Management System.
- Provide technical input and coaching for risk assessments and other HSE-related tasks.
- Deliver location-specific inductions for employees and subcontractors.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs, enhancing workforce knowledge.
- Manage HSE Hazard and Corrective Action Tracking Register.
- Conduct employee training GAP analysis and positional needs assessments.
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of Psychosocial Management Frameworks.
- Support injury management and return-to-work processes as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, senior management representatives and team members.
- Perform internal HSE audits across projects and facilities.
