We are seeking a highly experienced physician to lead our medical department and oversee the management and operation of our medical services. As the Clinical Director of Medicine, you will have overall responsibility for the coordination of multidisciplinary teams and the delivery of high-quality medical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the medical department, including the Medical Ward, General Medicine specialist outpatient clinics, and specialist outreach patient services.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of medical policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other directors and stakeholders to ensure seamless service integration and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the medical team, including the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
  • Hold current general and specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
  • A dual Fellowship in a relevant specialty will be highly regarded.
  • Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
What We Offer
  • Competitive pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value up to $562,559 p.a.
  • Up to $70,000 in incentive payments may be available under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme.
  • 5 weeks annual recreational leave accumulation with 17.5% loading when taken.
  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.
  • Attraction and retention incentive allowance of 35-50% base annual salary.
  • Regional and rural attraction allowance of 15% base annual salary.
  • Motor vehicle allowance.
  • Professional development allowance and leave of 3.6 weeks p.a.
  • Inaccessibility allowance.
