Ultrasound Manager Research Projects

The University of Queensland is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Manager to join our team in a part-time, fixed-term position through to June 2027. As a key member of our research team, you will work closely with Professor Jürgen Götz to implement and deliver the outcomes of the Clinical translation and regional Queensland Health practice implementation of the ultrasound application for Alzheimer's disease treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and facilitate access to technical research facilities, equipment, and capabilities.
- Assist in identifying technical and specialist capabilities and support staff recruitment.
- Lead project management, including planning, development, and coordination of resources.
- Provide high-level project management for research projects and contract/grant management.
- Contribute to research quality assurance, control, and improvement activities.
- Manage financial resources, budgetary reporting, and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in research management. The successful candidate will have:
Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive research management experience (preferably in the tertiary education or research sectors); or an undergraduate degree, extensive research management experience and other relevant education/training.Capacity to develop, manage, and coordinate research projects in a multidisciplinary environment.Ability to engage effectively with industry personnel and other stakeholders at a senior level.Proven ability to manage, lead, and develop staff within a research team environment.Exceptional writing and editing skills for presenting complex content clearly and concisely.Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for engaging with various audiences.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Awareness and understanding of intellectual property, regulatory, clinical trial, and commercialisation principles.The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, etc.
