Postdoctoral Research Fellow

This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at The University of Queensland's School of Chemical Engineering. The successful candidate will act as project manager and principal research engineer, leading a project funded by the Australian Research Council Linkage Project.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the overall project, coordinate tasks, deliverables, and reports.
- Conduct data analysis, produce quality research outputs, and publish in high-quality outlets.
- Contribute to knowledge transfer, including commercialisation of intellectual property, and participate in competitive funding applications.
- Supervise Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, and manage research support staff effectively.
- Demonstrate citizenship behaviours aligned with UQ values, and contribute to internal service roles and administrative processes.
- Participate in undergraduate or postgraduate teaching, and contribute to the development of external links and partnerships.
- Completion or near completion of a PhD in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of urban wastewater processes and fugitive greenhouse gas emissions.
- Skills in modelling and process control of biological wastewater treatment systems.
- Experience with full-scale wastewater treatment plant sampling.
- Ability to produce high-impact research publications and perform critical data analysis.
