Job Description

As a dispute resolution expert, you will lead and develop a team of specialists to achieve fair and efficient resolutions of customer complaints through our internal dispute resolution process. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the IDR team handling general insurance complaints.

Responsibilities include coaching and developing the team on dispute resolution, communication, and regulatory compliance. You will serve as the escalation point for complex issues and collaborate with stakeholders for fair resolutions. Additionally, you will foster a positive team culture and identify opportunities for continuous improvement through analysis of complaints.

You will also enhance stakeholder engagement and build trusted partnerships to support the design, implementation, and embedment of complaint transformation initiatives in the team. Furthermore, you will effectively manage reputational and compliance risks at a team level.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience within a financial services firm
  • Understanding of Australian financial services legislation and regulations
  • Proficient communication skills, adept at articulating solutions both orally and in writing
  • Tertiary qualifications in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Law, Mediation, or related fields, alongside industry-specific or specialised certifications
