Job Title

The Foundation Philanthropy Lead is a pivotal role within the organization, focusing on strategic stakeholder management, foundation board governance, and event planning to drive operational effectiveness and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic stakeholder management for the Foundation Board Chair, Chapter Chairs, and all Foundation Board members.
  • Prepare correspondence and briefings for key stakeholders.
  • Manage recruitment and induction of new Foundation Board members.
  • Partner with the Head of Philanthropy in preparing and delivering high-level philanthropy reports and analysis for the Foundation Board.
  • Manage prospect and other Foundation Board events.
  • Create and manage event invitation briefs, run sheets, and internal communications.
  • Meet and greet stakeholders at Foundation Board events.
  • Manage opening night ticketing lists.

Philanthropic Growth and Development

  • Oversee the planning and development of the stewardship matrix and philanthropy event calendar.
  • Identify major donor prospects for referral to the Philanthropy Director and Philanthropy Managers.
  • Use moves management to guide donors through the lifecycle: identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Confident and well-organized with ability to work autonomously and with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with diplomatic style and able to work with people from most influential to peers and general public.
  • Ability to meet fundraising goals and timeframes, manage multiple tasks, and work in a calm manner.
  • Experience and knowledge in managing annual/private giving campaigns, patrons/membership programs, donor identification, research, and cultivation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, accomplished presentation, and public speaking skills.
