Starship Engineer

As a Starship engineer, you will drive innovation in design, setting up tool and material flow paths, integrating propulsion, avionics, and structural components using novel techniques. You'll challenge requirements to delete parts or make them faster and more reliable to build.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with technicians and specialists to integrate propulsion, avionics, and structural components effectively.
  • Execute design, build, qualification, and acceptance testing of subassemblies, systems, and tooling efficiently.
  • Design a new Starship production line to accelerate build and integration of systems and subassemblies significantly.
  • Develop a deep understanding of vehicle structures, avionics, propulsion architecture, and integrated systems operation.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues in real-time and provide feedback for correction promptly.
  • Interface with design, build, and systems engineering teams to ensure delivery of test-ready hardware on time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required.
  • 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience (internship and school project experience qualify).

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience building challenging projects from scratch successfully.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex topics effectively and clearly.
  • Demonstrated experience driving significant outcomes and achieving results.
  • Application of passion and curiosity to learn, build, and complete impactful projects.
  • Experience transitioning products from design to manufacturing and optimizing for high-volume production efficiently.
