Job Overview:This role involves leading the design and implementation of avionics systems for space vehicles.
Key responsibilities include designing electrical components, integrating system-level electronics, and troubleshooting issues with onboard sensors and actuators.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to minimize mass, cost, and labor through innovative solutions is also essential.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, science, or math
- 2+ years of experience with electrical component design, system level integration of electronic components or system level testing
- 1+ years of experience using software tools such as Matlab, C++, or Python
- Competence with electrical test equipment
- Creative problem-solving skills to bring multiple disciplines together
- Experience troubleshooting sensors, actuators, and electrical components
- Experience with 3D CAD software
- Software fluency enabling automation of test or analysis tasks
- Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding atmosphere
This position requires extended hours and weekend work. Position located in Texas. Travel to other facilities may be intermittently required.
