Key Laboratory Support Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a key support role within our laboratory team.
- Responsibilities include routine specimen receipting and processing, pre and post analytical handling, identification and prioritization of urgent specimens, filing and storage of specimens and data entry.
- The successful candidate will also assist scientists in the lab as required, stay up to date with processing updates and resolve problems at the pre-analytic stage.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A strong background in specimen processing and data entry is essential for this role.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are also required, along with the ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment.
- The ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team, and have a strong understanding of the importance of following procedures accurately.
- Prior laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology would be beneficial but is not essential.
