We are seeking skilled professionals to fill Laboratory Technician roles supporting local government operations across Southeast Queensland (SEQ).

About the Role

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting tests, analysing samples and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

  • Collecting, preparing and analysing water, soil and environmental samples using laboratory equipment.
  • Conducting tests and ensuring accurate data recording.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and assisting in calibration and maintenance.
  • Ensuring quality assurance procedures and safety protocols are adhered to.
  • Maintaining detailed records and preparing technical reports.
  • Supporting the implementation of laboratory best practices and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • Qualification in Laboratory Technology or related field.
  • Experience in a laboratory environment preferably within local government or regulated sector.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
