Disability Support Specialist

About this Role

As a Disability Support Specialist, you will be delivering interventions to NDIS participants and their families, working towards positive life-changing outcomes.

The Role

  • Deliver therapy in diverse settings, including homes, schools, playgrounds, and community centres.
  • Conduct initial appointments at families' homes, utilising assessment and communication skills to get to know them, their child, and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, Speech Pathologists, and family members to support children's development.
  • Build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends).
  • Document and bill sessions through our online participant management system.
Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and registration as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Pathologist, Educator, or Social Worker.
  • Minimum 12 months experience working with children (aged 0-8) and their families.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with disability.
  • A positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and be a team player.
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth.
