Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to lead our APAC commercial team, overseeing complex contracts, advising on strategic growth initiatives, and driving business excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead the APAC legal function, aligning legal strategy with commercial objectives.
  • Serve as trusted counsel to the regional executive team, supporting strategic growth initiatives and commercial decision-making.
  • Oversee complex commercial contracts, IP/licensing, supplier agreements, and dispute resolution.
  • Support regional M&A activity in collaboration with the Corporate Development team.
  • Partner with Compliance to manage regulatory matters, incident response, and legal risk across APAC jurisdictions.
  • Lead the regional Commercial team, fostering high performance, professional development, and operational excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Australian-qualified solicitor with a minimum of 10 years' PQE.
  • Strong commercial law expertise, ideally in technology/SaaS.
  • Proven record as a legal or functional team leader, preferably within a technology-focused or private equity-backed environment.
  • Experience working in an organisation going through change, transformation would be advantageous.
  • Background working in a global matrix structure would also be helpful.
  • International legal experience across APAC is highly regarded.
