You'll work closely with the General Counsel providing commercial and pragmatic legal advice on a wide range of matters that directly impact business operations.

What work will you do?
You'll be responsible for: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
Providing commercial and solutions-focused legal advice on issues including employment law, privacy, competition, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Identifying and managing legal risk across business operations.
Supporting on disputes and litigation, including oversight of external counsel.
Monitoring legislative changes and communicating key impacts to internal stakeholders.
Delivering internal legal training to enhance risk awareness and compliance.
Building relationships across the business and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.
What type of person will be successful?
We're looking for a capable and commercially-minded lawyer who enjoys being part of a business and contributing to its success.
You will ideally bring: At least 5 years' PQE in corporate and commercial law.
A background in private practice or in-house (litigation or transactional).
A current Victorian practising certificate.
Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
A proactive, practical and commercially driven mindset.
Litigators with strong commercial judgment are particularly encouraged to apply, as their experience is highly regarded within the team, especially for contract work and legal risk assessment.
