Air Freight Operations Coordinator Role

Manage and coordinate international air freight operations to support aerospace clients across the Pacific.

Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate end-to-end import and export shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
  2. Process documentation, including commercial invoices, AWBs, BOLs, and customs declarations, accurately and efficiently.
  3. Collaborate with carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to maintain smooth operations.
  4. Ensure adherence to ABF, DAFF, RACA, IATA DG, WHO-GDP, and client SOPs for temperature-controlled, high-value, and AOG cargo movements.
  5. Respond promptly to AOG logistics requests during rostered on-call periods, including expedited shipments.
  6. Maintain job-level financials, billing, and KPI performance in CargoWise.
  7. Contribute to internal audits and compliance reporting.
Requirements:
  • Completion of Year 12; vocational or tertiary qualification in logistics or trade is desirable.
  • Solid experience in international freight forwarding operations (air and/or ocean) is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in managing time-critical freight or AOG movements is required.
  • CargoWise proficiency in job control, billing, and milestone tracking is necessary.
  • Strong working knowledge of Incoterms, clearance procedures, and global trade documentation is essential.
  • DG certification and RACA screener accreditation are desirable.
  • A willingness to work flexibly, including participation in a rotating 24/7 on-call roster, is required.
