Logistics Coordinator Role

This is a fantastic career opportunity to work as a Logistics Coordinator, providing outstanding, reliable, and safe global freight, shipping, and logistics solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate specific customer requirements for Road Freight services.
  • Implement road freight operations procedures in accordance with company standards.
  • Develop new road freight opportunities through existing and potential clients.
  • Prepare and negotiate quotes, pricing structures, rates, and price estimates as required.
  • Negotiate rates with subcontractors in line with service requirements.
  • Inform clients of factors such as transport options, timelines, and regulations affecting transport arrangements.
  • Regularly follow up on freight shipments and notify clients of transport progress.
  • Prepare and send invoices using CargoWise software platform.
  • Check, negotiate where necessary, and approve subcontractor invoices for payment.
  • Develop effective operations procedures to manage scheduled project logistics across Australia.
  • Attend Quality Management System (QMS) Inductions and ensure QMS processes are actively completed and maintained.
  • Report any Non-conformances, changes, or customer complaints if required.
  • Arrange the legal, efficient, and cost-effective transportation of cargo.
  • Liaise daily with customers and suppliers to meet their needs.
  • Manage delivery date requests to prevent delays, updating clients immediately if issues arise.
  • Assist with general office and warehouse duties as requested.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with logistics and transportation industry.
  • Basic knowledge of CargoWise software platform.
  • Australian road freight knowledge and experience preferred.
