This scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding student to pursue a higher degree by research in a dynamic and supportive environment.
">About the Project:
">The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary collaboration between 6 universities and 8 affiliated partner organisations, working on assessing dietary patterns and the environmental footprint of foods. The project aims to support a healthy and environmentally sustainable food supply in Australia and globally. The successful candidates will use this information to develop models that enable us to estimate the effects of changes in food systems and population diets on health outcomes, environmental outcomes, and economic outcomes.
">About the Role:
">This role offers a unique opportunity for an exceptional student to work with a world-leading team on a project that has significant implications for global food security and sustainability. You will have the chance to develop your skills in epidemiological modelling methods, work closely with academic and policy partners, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for a healthier and more sustainable food system.
">Required Skills and Qualifications:
">To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate expertise in epidemiology, econometrics, statistics, mathematics, environmental science, and/or nutrition science. A passion for quantitative research and experience in predictive modelling and coding (e.g. R, python) are desirable. You must also have completed a program with the required grades as detailed below.
">Benefits:
">This fully funded scholarship includes an annual stipend of $34,752 (indexed) for a period of up to three years of full-time study. International applicants will also be awarded a Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship to cover tuition fees for up to three years.
