Phd Scholarship: Stop-Ms Clinical Trial Scholarship

Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a PhD candidate to analyse clinical and para-clinical data from the STOP-MS Clinical trial for people with progressive multiple sclerosis (MS).
The primary focus of this role is to collect, quality check and analyse clinical parameters (e.g. EDSS) and paraclinical variables (EBNA1 titres and salivary EBV DNA) from Stage 1 of the STOP-MS clinical trial.This project includes literature review, data collection, data analysis and interpretation.
Success in this role requires collaboration with clinicians and study coordinators around Australia and working with a team of statisticians.
There will be opportunity for the successful applicant to define their own area of research.QualificationsThe selection of applicants for the award of higher degree research scholarships at Griffith University involves consideration of your academic merit and research background.
To be successful within this role, you will be able to undertake clinical assessments and record findings in the trial database.
You will have evidence of a passion for neurology, with a strong desire to undertake research in multiple sclerosis.Expressions of interest are welcome from domestic and international applicants.Applicants must have completed, or expect to complete, a bachelors degree with honours equivalent to first class honours or a Masters degree (AQF Level 9) incorporating a significant research component of a standard comparable to a bachelor honours degree or be regarded by Griffith University as having an equivalent level of attainment in accordance with Schedule One of the HDR Scholarship Procedure.
