About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of physiotherapists and providing clinical expertise in gerontology and general acute inpatient physiotherapy. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based physiotherapy programs, ensuring excellence in patient care and promoting quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff and students
  • Develop and implement physiotherapy programs, including assessments and management plans for patients with complex needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and promote a culture of teamwork and communication
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in performance monitoring and evaluation
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing coaching and feedback to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in physiotherapy or a related field and current registration as a physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Significant experience in gerontology and general acute inpatient physiotherapy, with a strong focus on evidence-based practice
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising teams and mentoring junior staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care
