About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center IT Operations Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Data Center Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Troubleshooting: You will be the escalation point for all technical issues and will work to resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
  2. Infrastructure Maintenance: You will be responsible for installing and configuring racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs, as well as ensuring the correct rotation of parts and spares.
  3. Physical Component Work: You will be required to lift and rack equipment using our lifting equipment, and may need to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  4. Customer Interaction: You will interact with customers during problem resolution and will need to operate efficiently under pressure.
  5. Project Delivery: You will participate in and deliver on a number of high-impact small to mid-scale projects.
Requirements
  1. Computer Hardware Troubleshooting: You will have 2+ years of experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  2. Computer Networking: You will have 1+ years of experience in computer networking.
  3. Education: You will have a high school or equivalent diploma.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Customer Service: You will have experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution.
  2. IT System Hardware: You will have knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts.
  3. Computer Hardware Troubleshooting: You will have experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
