Support Services Coordinator

This role is responsible for providing community, clinic, and telehealth-based services to individuals of all ages, supported by a Multi-Disciplinary Team.
Main Responsibilities:- Building Strong Relationships: Developing and maintaining effective relationships with participants and key stakeholders.
- Functional Behaviour Assessments: Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
- Behaviour Support Planning: Creating and implementing tailored behaviour support plans that incorporate function-based strategies.
- Training and Education: Providing training and education to stakeholders on behaviour management and support techniques.
- Restrictive Practices: Reviewing and reducing the use of restrictive practices in accordance with relevant guidelines.
- Data Collection and Monitoring: Regularly collecting and analysing data to monitor progress and inform service delivery.
- 'Proficient', 'Advanced' or 'Specialist' letter of suitability.
- Experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, including conducting FBAs, writing and implementing behaviour support plans, and working with restrictive practices.
- Preferably 3+ years experience working in behaviour support.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Social, Disability, Teaching or Social Sciences).
- A learning mindset and commitment to continuous development.
- Experience of supervising or coaching others, or willingness to develop clinical leadership skills.
- NDISWC/WWCC (or willingness to apply).
- Current Australian driver's license and ability to travel with own vehicle.
Applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A strong understanding of behaviour support principles and practices is essential.
