Job Title:

Maintenance and Facilities Assistant


We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Facilities Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and other duties as assigned by supervisors. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Carrying out minor investigations and assisting with all types of maintenance work requests on Council buildings
  • Performing general maintenance tasks, including but not limited to locksmith works, tiling, painting, cleaning, plastering, timber framing, and other minor building maintenance tasks
  • Carrying out and assisting with maintenance works on furniture and facilities, including carpentry, joinery, cabinet making, painting, glazing, plastering, demolition, and other tasks directed by the supervisor

  • Proficient in using hand tools and equipment, including power tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
