About this role:

We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join our team and contribute to the successful implementation of our HR Business Plan.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, delivering a comprehensive suite of contemporary HR services to designated customer areas and the whole business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong skill set within Industrial Relations (IR) and experience in administering and coordinating the delivery of HR services across sites.

Key responsibilities will include providing expert advisory services on HR, IR, and employment matters, leading and managing grievance/dispute resolution processes, and optimising HR capability within departments through training, auditing, and coaching.

In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to HR improvement projects, coordinate workforce planning, recruitment, and selection processes, and provide comprehensive Industrial Relations advice.

We are looking for someone with significant experience delivering HR/IR services in a complex environment, tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline, and proven ability to manage complex employee matters.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administer and coordinate the delivery of a comprehensive suite of HR services across sites.
  2. Provide expert advisory services on HR, IR, and employment matters to employees and leaders.
  3. Lead and manage grievance/dispute resolution, disciplinary, and performance management processes, including complex case management.
  4. Optimise HR capability within departments through training, auditing, and coaching.
  5. Contribute to HR improvement projects and the completion of the HR Business Plan and calendar.
  6. Coordinate workforce planning, recruitment, and selection processes.
  7. Provide comprehensive Industrial Relations advice, including EA, legislative, and policy interpretation.
  8. Support effective engagement with external stakeholders such as unions.
  9. Ensure compliance with HR governance requirements, including audits and reporting.

Requirements:

  1. Significant experience delivering comprehensive HR/IR services in a complex environment.
  2. Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  3. Proven ability to manage complex employee matters, including case management.
  4. Experience interpreting industrial instruments and employment legislation.
