The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Industrial Relations (IR).

About the Role:

As a Human Resources Specialist, you'll play a critical role in delivering a comprehensive suite of contemporary HR services to designated customer areas and the whole business.

This role focuses on providing a seamless end-to-end employee experience and contributing to the successful implementation of our HR Business Plan.

You will oversee Union management and engagement, building strong professional relationships with Unions and resolving disputes/issues arising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and coordinate the delivery of a comprehensive suite of HR services across sites.
  • Provide expert advisory services on HR, IR, and employment matters to employees and leaders.
  • Lead and manage grievance/dispute resolution, disciplinary, and performance management processes.
  • Optimise HR capability within departments through training, auditing, and coaching.
  • Contribute to HR improvement projects and the completion of our HR Business Plan and calendar.
  • Coordinate workforce planning, recruitment, and selection processes.
  • Provide comprehensive Industrial Relations advice.
  • Support effective engagement with external stakeholders such as unions.
  • Ensure compliance with HR governance requirements.

About You:

Significant experience delivering comprehensive HR/IR services in a complex environment is essential.

Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline are required.

Proven ability to manage complex employee matters, including case management.

Experience interpreting industrial instruments and employment legislation is necessary.
