About the Role

As a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Unravel Carbon, you will be responsible for customer delivery, calculating carbon footprints, developing emission reduction recommendation plans, and determining optimized decarbonization pathways. You will work closely with customers to provide evidence-based insights and support their climate emergency fight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate carbon footprints and accounts of companies
  • Develop net-zero roadmaps and emission reduction plans
  • Input into ongoing development of footprinting tools and processes
  • Support customers on net-zero, ESG, and TCFD topics
  • Work with the Chief Sustainability Officer on carbon removal projects and climate policy positioning
  • Take responsibility for independently serving customers and supporting future climate associates
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Consultant who has a strong background in corporate carbon accounting and climate change advisory. You should have:

  • Working knowledge of the GHG Protocol and at least one of the following topics: corporate climate disclosure and reporting, negative emission/carbon removal technologies, or carbon offsetting markets
  • Excellent numerical skills and strong proficiency with Excel/spreadsheets
  • Methodical approach and ability to work independently
  • Care about data integrity and quality
  • Curiosity, common sense, and a broad understanding of carbon, climate, and sustainability issues
  • Ability to engage people from different backgrounds and with different agendas
  • Confidence in communicating with customers and excel at organization
  • High integrity, care about real climate impact, and can guide customers on this journey

About Your Background

We prefer candidates with a bachelor's and preferably a master's degree in sustainability, environmental engineering, or climate science-related fields, or equivalent experience. You should have 5-10 years of work experience in Sustainability Consulting, focusing on corporate carbon accounting and/or climate change advisory.

Experience with climate risk analysis and transition risks will be highly regarded.
