Reliable Maintenance Technician Needed

We are seeking a skilled and experienced maintenance technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the property and ensuring all facilities are in excellent working order.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the resort, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance tasks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with guest rooms, public areas, and resort facilities quickly and efficiently
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment and systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, etc.) are functioning properly and safely
  • Assist with emergency repairs and respond to maintenance requests promptly and effectively
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas at all times
  • Ensure all safety and compliance procedures are followed for resort maintenance activities
  • Support the team with preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
  • Assist with the setup of events or any special requirements for guests when needed, providing exceptional customer service
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services, managing relationships and contracts effectively
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, optimizing stock levels and minimizing waste
  • Ensure the resort meets all health and safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or resort environment
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks, with ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with other departments, providing exceptional customer service and support
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and public holidays, with ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
  • A positive, can-do attitude with strong commitment to quality, with ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Excellent computer skills in the Office Suite, with ability to learn new software and systems quickly
