Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Oilandgas. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated, and problems are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair, and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products.
  • Remove and re-installation of mobile rig components.
  • Repair of mobile rig components.
  • Use hand tools and be able to correctly setup and operate applicable shop machines.
  • Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
  • Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Operate lifting equipment/machinery relevant to movement of materials within Service process.
  • Assure that results of work meet company quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Utilize safe work habits.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years experience in field service required.
  • Pneumatic/electrical/hydraulic repair and troubleshooting experience required.
  • Heavy equipment assembly experience, preferred.
  • Stick/Mig welding operations.
  • Oxy/acetylene cutting knowledge basic preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
  • Must have a valid driver's license & clean driving record.
  • Must obtain NOV approved driver status and maintain active status.
  • Overtime will be required - must be willing & able to work nights, weekend, and on-call 24/7.
  • Travel to customers locations will be required at times.
  • Work at any time - even during adverse weather conditions such as heat & cold outdoors.
  • Must be able to kneel & crawl into tight areas as needed.
  • Must be able to work at heights up to 120' feet as required.
  • Lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly.
  • Must possess basic computer skills - email, filing of field reports, expenses.
  • Strong communication skills with Supervisor and other team members.
  • Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently.
  • Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, Push/Pull, and Repetitive Movement up to 12 hours daily.
  • Lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly.
