We are seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to join our team and help build out the digital infrastructure of our organization. Reporting to the Sr. Development Leader, this engineer will primarily work with IT, software development, and AI/ML teams to automate infrastructure management, build CI/CD pipelines, and drive innovation across the company.
The ideal candidate has experience in various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities include deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing on-premises product systems, configuring and managing databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, increasing productivity through automation, resolving problems using system troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques, automating different software processes by designing and maintaining tools, defining and developing system backup and recovery strategies, diagnosing and resolving server configuration, deployments, and database-related issues, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing system performance for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, providing periodic reporting and management information on infrastructure performance and operational KPIs, and developing policies, standards, and guidelines for IaC and CI/CD that teams can follow.
Required qualifications include a BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical education, strong knowledge of Linux and Windows, at least two years CI/CD pipeline experience along with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, understanding networking basics including DNS, TCP/IP, and VPN, familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for container management and orchestration, ability to work with relational databases (SQL/MySQL/AWS etc. as data repository), proactive learning new tools as our stack evolves, and strong communication skills to collaborate with others and interact with diverse groups.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge and interest in HPC hardware/infrastructure and experience in a manufacturing environment.
